Humanities' Perspective on Health Care
The Centre for Ethics, Humanities, and Palliative Care will hold a series of noon-time talks on the first Wednesday of each month addressing issues in healthcare through the lens of the humanities. The first presentation, “Human Development in Art,” will be given Jan. 2 by Hannah Solky, clinical associate professor of psychiatry and pediatrics and a docent at the Memorial Art Gallery. Certificate Course Teaches Patient Safety
A 10-session certificate course for health care professionals and students offers training in patient safety. The free course, beginning Feb. 14, discusses safety issues such as malpractice, crisis management, and the science of medical error.
