Teen Pianists to Gather at Eastman
For the first time since the contest was
launched in 1997, the finalists in the Eastman Young Artists Piano
Competition will play the deciding concerto round with the Rochester
Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Eastman Professor and Conductor
Neil Varon. The 8-day event starts Saturday, July 31.

Two Join American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
Jill Quinn, an assistant professor at
the School of Nursing, and Jane Tuttle, a professor of clinical nursing
and pediatrics, were recognized as nurse practitioner leaders who have
made outstanding contributions to health care through clinical practice,

Summer Institute Deadline Nears
The deadline to register for the Institute for Innovative Transition 2010 Summer Institute, "Strategies for Successful Campus-based Options for Students with Developmental Disabilities," is July 15. The institute, designed for families and professionals interested in learning more about inclusive postsecondary education options and opportunities for students with developmental disabilities graduating from high school, will take place 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at the RIT Inn and Conference Center.
