'YOUR Health' is Calling—Will You Answer?
Since the University partnered with Carewise Health to expand its wellness offerings this year, the Benefits Office reports that some staff members have been surprised by phone calls from representatives for YOUR Health/Carewise Health. Lecture: 'Obesity Prevention with Head Start Families'
The next Summer in the City lunch-hour series on community health will feature “Obesity Prevention with Head Start Families,” a presentation about research that aims to better support families in the Head Start program with childhood obesity prevention. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to the talk, which starts at noon on Friday, July 30, in the LeChase Assembly Hall (G-9576), Medical Center. A light lunch will be served. Luncheon Highlights VisitRochester Services
Faculty and administrative staff are
invited to a luncheon that will highlight services and programs offered
by VisitRochester. The College Collaborations Learning Lunch will be
held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Interfaith Chapel.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Complimentary lunch will be available along
with door prizes and handouts. Space is limited to the first 50

Barbecue Competition Will Support Cancer Center
Professional and backyard barbecue chefs will face off in a series of barbecue contests this weekend during the BBQ and Music Festival in conjunction with Brockport’s Summer Arts Festival. The event will support patient care programs at the Wilmot Cancer Center.
