$3M Grant Will Help Team Develop Monitoring Devices
Supported by a $3 million grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, a University team is perfecting a portable EKG monitor and a separate voice analysis system that could help move psychology and medical research out of the lab and into people’s daily lives.

Sensing a Breakthrough for Muscular Dystrophy
A unique international collaboration advances understanding and treatment of muscular dystrophy.

Sale Benefits Wilmot Cancer Center
Designer MacKenzie-Childs is hosting a benefit sale on Sunday, Aug. 22, for the Wilmot Cancer Center. The Aurora specialty shop will donate 10 percent of its sales between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Defensive Driving Course Offered
New York State’s six-hour defensive driving course is being offered from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, in Louise Slaughter Room C (1-9555) in the Medical Center. Get 10 percent off your auto insurance or a four-point reduction on your license for completing the $35 course. To register, call 905-9420. An online course is also available.
