Certificate Course Teaches Patient Safety
The faculty of the Division of
Healthcare Management in the Department of Community and Preventive
Medicine is offering a free "mini" certificate course for health care
professionals, trainees, and students. The 11-session program offers
information on how to improve safety as well as the latest thinking on patient safety. Sessions begin Thursday, Sept. 9. The
registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 3. Contact Judy Hughes at

Video: Eastman Young Artists Competition
See the video from the 12th annual Eastman Young Artists Piano Competition, held earlier this month. Allen Yuan, 17, of Farmington Hills, Mich., was awarded the Gold Medal in this year's competition, which featured 22 pianists from China, the United States, Taiwan, Canada, Korea, and Japan.
Clambake Raises Funds for Children's Hospital
Team Ali-Gaiters, supporters of Golisano Children's Hospital, will hold its seventh annual clambake from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Honeoye Falls Fire Department Training Grounds. The event will benefit the Children's Heart Center at Golisano Children's Hospital.
