Political Science Conference Will Honor Professor
Scholars from across the United States and Europe will explore “Democracy and Representation” this weekend at a conference honoring G. Bingham Powell, Jr., the Marie C. Wilson and Joseph C. Wilson Professor of Political Science. Panel discussions will be held Saturday, Oct. 30, in Gleason Hall 118 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Powell, the president-elect of the American Political Science Association, has taught and conducted research in the University’s Department of

Harvard Professor to Discuss Landmark Court Case
Morton Horwitz, the Charles Warren
Professor of American Legal History at Harvard Law School, will give a
talk on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the Hawkins-Carlson Room,
Rush Rhees Library. Horwitz will discuss Brown vs. Board of Education
and the Warren Court. A reception will follow in the Welles-Brown Room.

Simon School Hosts Marketing Case Competition
Students will demonstrate their
strategic marketing skills at the second annual CertaPro Painters
Business Case Competition on Friday, Nov. 5 at the Simon School.
Participants in the student-organized case competition will be
encouraged to apply their creativity and analytics to solve a real-world
business and marketing problem.
