In
another record-breaking year, the Center for Electronic Imaging Systems
(CEIS) announced Thursday it has made a $134.5 million economic impact
in New York State in the 2007-08 fiscal year. Read more...
Engineer Gets $1.75 Million to Study Biofuel
David
Wu, professor of chemical engineering, has received a $1.75 million
grant to investigate a way to turn waste biomass, such as grass
clippings, cornstalks, and wood chips, into usable hydrogen or

Lung Disease Awareness is Focus of Global Effort on Nov. 19
Nov.
19 has been designated World COPD Day 2008 (chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease) and the theme this year is Breathless not Helpless.
The Medical Center and the American Lung Association have joined
together to form the Better Breathers Club, a monthly educational
support group for patients and their families. Read more...
Free Russian Family Day at Memorial Art Gallery
On
Sunday, Nov. 16 from noon to 5 p.m., the Memorial Art Gallery will host
Russian Family Day. Admission is free and includes Russian music, dance
and art activities. It also includes admission to the gallery and the
exhibition "Tradition in Transition: Russian Icons in the Age of the
