Golisano Hospital Climbs in U.S. News Rankings
Golisano Children's Hospital is listed among the nation’s best hospitals for four pediatric specialties—gastroenterology, neonatology, orthopaedics, and neurology/neurosurgery —by U.S. News and World Report in the annual rankings released Tuesday. Read more...
Vincent Yu Named a Goldwater Scholar
University undergraduate Vincent Yu '14 has been named a 2012 Barry M. Goldwater Scholar, one of 275 recipients selected from a national pool of more than 1,100 candidates. He is the 23rd Rochester student to be named a Goldwater Scholar since 2002. Read more...
Changes Announced at Medical Center Pharmacies
Effective Sunday, July 1, the Medical Center's main lobby Outpatient
Pharmacy will cater exclusively to patients of Strong Memorial Hospital
and its affiliated clinics. University faculty, staff,
and retirees and their families will be directed to the Crittenden-side Employee Pharmacy, which offers delivery services,
copayment discounts, and expanded hours (including Saturday

Award Recipients' Names Added to Plaques
The names of this year's recipients of the Meliora Award, the Witmer
Award for Distinguished Service, the Presidential Diversity Award, and
the Staff Community Service Award have been added to honorary plaques on
the River and Medical Center campuses. University Communications'
Creative Services team installed the updated plaques last week on the
second floor of Wallis Hall and outside the CEO's office at the Medical
Go Green: Data Shows Increase in University Recycling
Recycling efforts reduced the University's emissions of carbon dioxide by more than 9,000 metric tons in 2011, the equivalent of taking 1,663 vehicles off the road and saving more than 1 million gallons of gasoline.
