Planet Predicted by Professor Is Seen
In 2006, Alice Quillen, associate professor of physics and astronomy, predicted that a planet of a particular size and orbit must lie within the dust of a nearby star. That planet has now been photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope, making it only the second planet ever imaged after an accurate prediction. Read more...

Eastman Community Music School Student to Perform at White House
Gabrielle Monachino, an Eastman Community Music School student, is heading to Washington, D.C., to present a 90-minute concert of Christmas music at the White House Holiday Open House on Monday, Dec. 15. The University of Rochester Press announces that Dane Rudhyar: His Music, Thought, and Art,
