@Rochester: News for University of Rochester

Special Edition: Oct. 29, 2012

Update on University Operations, Classes
Classes Monday evening and Tuesday are scheduled to continue as planned, and University offices will be open on a regular schedule. The University is continuing to monitor and prepare for the potential overnight effects of Hurricane Sandy.

University Communications will notify students, faculty, and staff by email later tonight or Tuesday morning if the situation changes, and the University homepage and local media will have updates on the University's operating status. If there is a change to the University's operations, essential staff should report unless otherwise notified.

Additionally, Medical Center employees—whether at Elmwood Avenue or any off-site location—are considered "essential staff" and are required to report even during severe weather. If you are unable to report to work, you must contact your supervisor.

Emergency Information
Updates on the University's operations and other information about Hurricane Sandy can be found at the University's emergency website.
