Register Now for Faculty Leadership Conference
Faculty members from all disciplines are invited to register for a half-day leadership development workshop on Jan. 26. Get more information and view a printable registration form online. Register by Jan. 12 through the Office of Continuing Professional Education, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 677, Rochester NY 14642-8677, or call 275-3721 for more details.
Support Rochester Basketball Teams' Bid For Chase Title
The women's and men's basketball teams will open defense of their championships in the JPMorgan Chase Tournament next week. Rochester's women, who were ranked first nationally in the last two polls on D3hoops.com, begin play on Tuesday at either SUNY Brockport or Nazareth College. The men open play at Brockport or Nazareth on Wednesday. RIT will host the semifinals, third place, and championship games. Women's semis are Thursday; men's semis are Friday. The championship games will be played Jan. 17. The complete tournament draw will be announced Sunday, Jan. 11, at www.rochester.edu/athletics.
Neurologist Helps Set National Guidelines for Diagnosing Neuropathy
David Herrmann, director of the Peripheral Neuropathy Clinic at Strong Memorial Hospital, has helped compile a national set of guidelines for diagnosing the painful nerve condition known as neuropathy. Read more...

Learn Salsa for the New Year
The Fitness & Wellness Center at the Medical Center will offer a Salsa class on Thursday evenings from 5:20-6:20 p.m. The cost is $42 for a 6-week session (members receive a $6 discount). The session begins Jan. 22, and registration ends Jan. 19. Read more...

Chad Post, director of Open Letter, the University's publishing house that deals exclusively with works in translation, was featured on Wisconsin Public Radio's Here On Earth program.
