Simon Professors Will Be Guests on Radio Show Today
Simon professor Clifford Smith Jr. and Distinguished University Professor and President Emeritus Thomas Jackson will be guests on WXXI's 1370 Connection with Bob Smith from noon to 1 p.m. today, Feb. 2, in advance of the Simon School’s Major Bankruptcies public forum at 5:30 tonight.
Workshop Addresses Work and Family Stress
In partnership with the Strong Employee Assistance Program, Well-U will offer a free stress management workshop called Coping with Work and Family Stress on Feb. 4. Register online for the workshop, which will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Romano Room (1-9041) in the Medical Center. Read more...
Squash Team Featured on RNews Tuesday
The squash team, currently ranked number six by the College Squash Association, will be featured on R News (Time Warner Cable) Tuesday, Jan. 3, beginning with the 5:16 p.m. sportscast.
Susan B. Anthony Legacy Dinner Set for Thursday
The annual Susan B. Anthony Legacy Dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, in the May Room of Wilson Commons. The 2009 Susan B. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Daria Semegen '68E (BM), a noted composer of instrumental, vocal and electronic music. Allida Black, director and editor of the Eleanor Roosevelt Papers, will be delivering the keynote address. The evenings program will include presenting prizes, awards, and scholarships to students. Valentine's Celebration Supports Wilmot Cancer Center
A Valentine's Day celebration will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Good Luck, 50 Anderson Ave. The third-annual event supports the Wilmot Cancer Center. Read more...
Fun Fitness Camp in February
The Fun Fitness Camp will be held from Feb. 16-20 at the Fitness & Wellness Center in the Medical Center. Children ages 7-12 are welcome to come and play games, ice skate, and visit the Rochester Museum and Science Center. Registration can be for the whole week or single days. Student Life Awards Deadline Is Friday
Nominations for this year's University Student Life Awards are due by noon on Friday, Feb. 6. The College and Eastman School undergraduate students are eligible. Staff, faculty members, and students may submit nominations. Contact Joanne King at 275-4085 with questions.
