Study Raises Concerns about Screen Time among Urban Kids with Asthma
Urban children with asthma on average engage in an hour more of screen time daily—including watching TV and playing video games—than the maximum recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The Medical Center study is the first study to examine screen time among children with asthma and is part of a larger study on how to more effectively treat asthma. Read more...
Warner Student, Alumna Will be Guests on WXXI's 1370 Connection
Cathy Sweet, a Warner doctoral student in teaching and curriculum, and Shannon Elliott, a recent graduate of the teaching and curriculum program at Warner, will be guests on WXXI's 1370 Connection with Bob Smith tomorrow. Sweet and Elliott will talk about President Barack Obama's plans for arts education. The show will air from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, on 1370 AM.
