Reminder: June 30 is the Social Security Number Compliance Deadline
In accordance with the University’s Social Security number and Personal Identifying Information Policy enacted in January 2009, all Social Security number collections, stored in both paper and electronic forms, must be registered by the data custodian by June 30. After the June 30 deadline, a security breach, loss, or potential illegal disclosure of Social Security numbers that have not been registered may result in financial liability for the department(s) responsible for managing the data. Find out more at www.rochester.edu/it/policy/SSN-PII/index.php.
