Hutchison Hall Sidewalk Replacement
Beginning this week, the sidewalks between Hutchison Road and Hutchison Hall will be replaced. The stairs leading from Hutchison Road to the lower level of Hutchison Hall, Hubbell and Lander Auditoria, will be blocked. Pedestrian traffic will be routed to the sidewalk in front Goergen Hall/Biomedical Engineering Optics Building and the Computer Studies building to the third floor entrances to Hutchison Hall and Hylan Hall at the plaza. The project will continue through early October with completion scheduled for Meliora Weekend. For more information, call Paul Spaulding at 275-2232.

Roger Freitas, associate professor of musicology at the Eastman School, provides a rare glimpse into the social and political contexts of 17th-century music in his new book.

University Mourns Loss of Sheena Clancy
The University flag will be lowered today in memory of Sheena Clancy, a secretary in the cardiology department at the Medical Center, who died July 4. Clancy, 46, lived in Rochester, and joined the Medical Center in 2006. More information can be found in her obituary.

Wilmot Cancer Center Marks 2,000th Transplant with Picnic
The Wilmot Cancer Center will celebrate its 2,000th blood and marrow transplant with a survivors’ celebration Wednesday, July 22.

Security Tip of the Week: Did You Know?
If you’ve got questions, the University Security and Policy team has answers. A new Security Tip of the Week feature called "Did You Know" will run once a month. E-mail questions to UnivIT_SP@ur.rochester.edu. Have you ever received an e-mail informing you that a message was not delivered, but you never sent the message in the first place? These “bounce back messages” fall under the category of unwanted e-mail called backscatter and are the result of your e-mail address being forged as the sender of spam messages.

Get Free Admission to the 20th Annual Ten Ugly Men Festival
The Ten Ugly Men Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Genesee Valley Park. Adult admission is $30 in advance and $40 at the door, but there are two opportunities to attend for free.
