Hospital Introduces Interactive Technology for Asthma Care
A new informational package on asthma has recently been added to the Get Well Network Patient Life system at Golisano Children’s Hospital. The package, which evolved from Katelyn’s Connection, allows patients admitted to the hospital for asthma-related issues to learn more about their condition and how to prevent future flare-ups.
Web Site Launches for Technical Entrepreneurship and Management Program
Registration Open for Amazing Weight Loss Race
The Center for Entrepreneurship has launched a Web site for its new master of science in Technical Entrepreneurship and Management (TEAM) degree. TEAM students take classes simultaneously at the Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Simon Graduate School of Business. The Fitness and Wellness Center at the Medical Center will sponsor the Amazing Weight Loss Race, an eight-week challenge to lose weight and become healthier. The program fee is $35 and includes use of the Fitness and Wellness Center, personal training, weekly weigh-ins, and sessions on health-related topics. Registration ends Sept. 30. Rochester River Run/Walk 5K Set For Sept. 26
Individuals and teams are invited to participate in the eighth annual Friends of Strong Rochester River Run/Walk 5K, to be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Roundhouse Shelter at Genesee Valley Park.
New Horizons Seeks New Members
New Horizons will host an information meeting for prospective members from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Eastman Community Music School, Messinger Hall, 10 Gibbs St. For more information, go to the New Horizons Web site or call 274-1400.
