Security Tip of the Week: Laptop Travel Safety
Events Celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week
A laptop computer defines convenience and mobility, but chances are
you've heard stories about stolen laptops on the news or from friends
and colleagues. As the holidays approach, here are some tips to help prevent your laptop from being stolen when you are traveling. A PDF is available to print out and use as a poster. Do you have ideas that should be shared as security tips of the week? If so, please send them to UnivIT_SP@ur.rochester.edu.
The Center for Entrepreneurship has assisted in organizing several events to celebrate the 2009 Global Entrepreneurship Week, a worldwide movement encouraging people to pursue entrepreneurial ideas. A complete schedule is available online.
November/December HR Intercom Now Online
The November/December HR Intercom, a newsletter with up-to-date information about Human Resources programs and resources, is now available online.
Share Thanksgiving with an International Student
Each year the Rochester International Council, a nonprofit organization
that provides services to international college students and scholars
as well as Department of State international visitors, invites them to
join a family for a Thanksgiving dinner. If you have an extra seat at
your Thanksgiving table, there are international students who would
love an invitation. For more information, e-mail Judy Weinstein or call 275-8779.
