Students Honored As Iota Book Award Recipients
The University’s Iota Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, along with deans of the College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering, recognized the 2009 Iota Book Award winners during a formal ceremony Tuesday.

Professor Honored for Commitment to Women and Children
Ruth Lawrence, professor of pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology, has been awarded the 2009 Martha May Eliot Award by the American Public Health Association.

Danton’s Death Opens Tonight
Visiting director David Melville Kennedy and the University’s International Theatre Program bring the spirit of the French Revolution to life in Danton’s Death, opening tonight at Todd Theatre.

Kids Put Robots to the Test in LEGO Competition
Teams of children will test robots that they designed and built out of LEGO pieces during the regional championship of the fifth annual Finger Lakes FIRST LEGO League Tournament from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in the Goergen Athletic Center.

Conference and Events Office on Facebook
The University’s Conference and Events Office now has a Facebook page. Become a fan of Conference and Events to stay up to date on upcoming events, and see pictures, videos, and blog entries from previous events. Join by Dec. 15 and be eligible to win a $25 iTunes gift card.

Customer Appreciation Day at Bookstore
The River Campus Bookstore will hold a Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, Dec. 4. Extra discounts and free popcorn and punch will be available all day. The first 100 customers will receive Vera Bradley binder clips.

Eastman Community Music School Hosts Homecoming
Current and former students, parents, and the public are invited to enjoy a day of performances as the Eastman Community Music School holds its annual Homecoming, beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19.
