Women and Sustainability Lecture Series
Shanna Swan, professor of obstetrics and gynecology and of environmental medicine, will discuss her recent study, "The Effect of Environmental Chemicals on Sexually-Dimorphic Development." The lecture will be at 4:30 p.m. today in the Gowen Room in Wilson Commons.

Memorial Art Gallery Opens Gallery of Ancient Art
Two new galleries showcasing the Memorial Art Gallery's ancient art collections will open Wednesday, Dec. 16. Renovation and reinstallation of the second-floor galleries, which began this summer, were made possible by one of the largest gifts in gallery history, a $1 million donation from long-time supporter Helen Berkeley.

Celebrate the Season at River Campus Holiday Social
Faculty and staff are invited to celebrate the season during the annual River Campus Holiday Social from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the May Room of Wilson Commons. Shuttle service from AAC—East River Road, Laboratory for Laser Energetics, UFC, Goler House, and Brooks Landing will be available. Shuttles will begin running at 2 p.m. with initial pick up at AAC and will run continuously to and from the River Campus to all four locations until 5 p.m.

Two-Day Seminar on Lab Design Offered
Planning and Project Management will hold a free two-day seminar on lab design today and Friday, Dec. 11, in the Gowen Room in Wilson Commons. The seminar is based on the course “Guidelines for Laboratory Design: Health and Safety Considerations” and is for individuals involved in designing, constructing, maintaining and operating new laboratories, or renovating existing laboratory facilities. Registration is required. Call Sandy Gasserlick at 275-0717.

Computer Sales: Holiday Financing
A representative from Advantage Federal Credit Union will be at University IT Computer Sales' Medical Center location (G-7220B) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today to answer questions and process loan applications for their Holiday Financing promotion. Details on the promotion can be found at the University IT Computer Sales Web site.

Squash Team Hosts No. 2 Princeton
Currently ranked No. 3, Rochester’s squash team is highlighted as a possible national contender by the College Squash Association. The Yellowjackets host No. 2 Princeton University at the Goergen Athletic Center at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13.
