Memorial Art Gallery Opens Galleries of Ancient Art
Two new galleries showcasing the Memorial Art Gallery’s ancient art collections open today. Renovation and reinstallation of the second-floor galleries, which began this past summer, was made possible by one of the largest gifts in gallery history, a $1 million donation from Helen Berkeley.

Like leaving home, leaving the office for vacation merits a bit of preparation. There are a number of things that you and your department can do to reduce energy use while you’re not in the office. Check these going-away reminders.

Simon School iPhone/iPod Touch Update Available
An updated version of a free iPhone/iPod Touch application with new special features including faculty research, job postings, social media, an alumni firms directory and more about the Simon School is now available at Apple’s iTunes store.

Medical Center Hosts Clothing Drive
The Medical Center will partner with ABVI Goodwill to host a clothing drive from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec., 17, outside the Lot 1 parking lot gates at the Crittenden Boulevard entrance. For more information, e-mail Carla LeVant.

Celebrate the Season With Free RPO Concert
Enjoy the sounds of the season with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Brass Ensemble at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the Wilmot Cancer Center Atrium. The concert is free.

Computer Sales: Printer and Clearance Sale
University IT Computer Sales' Rush Rhees Library location will open at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, for a printer sale featuring the HP DeskJet F4480 All-in-One for $29.95 (While supplies last. Limit one per customer). In addition, they are holding a clearance sale with discounts up to 70 percent.

@Rochester Goes Weekly during Holidays
Starting next week and for the remainder of 2009, @Rochester will publish weekly. Issues will be sent Monday, Dec. 21, and Monday, Dec. 28. Daily publication will resume Monday, Jan. 4. Please send news submissions for the Dec. 21 issue by 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. News items for the Dec. 28 issues should be sent by noon on Thursday, Dec. 24.
