Study Reveals Chemo’s Toxicity to Brain
Medical Center researchers have developed a novel animal model showing that four commonly used chemotherapy drugs disrupt the birth of new brain cells, and that the condition could be partially reversed with an insulin-like growth factor.

The New York State Health Foundation has awarded a $300,000 grant to the Medical Center to implement and compare a new enhanced model of care, called Starlight Pediatrics, for managing health issues for children in foster care.

Kodak Hall Plays Host to RPO Holiday Concert
The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Jeff Tyzik will present a series of gala Holiday Pops! concerts at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre beginning tonight at 8 p.m. Concerts will also be held at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20.
