Rochester women's soccer coach Terry Gurnett has received a Letter of Commendation from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the largest coaching organization in the world.

Student Life Award Nominations Due Monday
Nominations for this year’s University Student Life Awards will be accepted through Monday, Jan. 25. Undergraduate students at the College and the Eastman School are eligible. The annual awards recognize students who have significantly and positively impacted the University and/or surrounding community through service to others, investment of time and talent, and pursuit of excellence. Read more about the awards and submit nominations online.

Healthy Child Initiative Receives Grant
The Healthi Kids initiative, a partnership among Rochester’s Center for Community Health and Department of Pediatrics, the Finger Lakes Health Systems Agency, and the Children’s Health Agenda, has been awarded a $360,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to improve opportunities for physical activity and access to affordable, healthy foods for children and families in Rochester and Monroe County.

Women and Sustainability Lecture Series
Shanna Swan, professor of obstetrics and gynecology and of environmental medicine, will discuss her research exploring the effect of plastic chemicals on boys’ behavior today. Openings Remain for February Rochester Scholars
There's still time to register for the winter session of Rochester Scholars. The application deadline is Thursday, Jan. 28. Rochester’s academic pre-college courses are available to students in grades 9-12, during February break.
