Annual Book Celebration Honors University Authors
The Provost's annual Book
Celebration is a University-wide event to honor faculty and staff
members who have authored a book, or its equivalent, within the past
year. If you are the author of a "book" published between May 1, 2009,
and April 30, 2010, contact Karen
Johnson in the Provost’s Office to be included in the May 6 event.
Eastman Dental Urgent Care Opens
To address the region's increasing need,
Eastman Dental, of Medical Center's Eastman Institute for Oral Health,
today opens a new urgent care clinic on the concourse level of its main
site at 625 Elmwood Ave.

Nurse Donates Life-Saving Cells to Leukemia Patient
Ruben Casaverde, a registered nurse at Wilmot Cancer Center, will roll up his sleeves and donate stem cells to help a 37-year-old who needs a transplant to bring his leukemia into remission.

Medical School Students Put
on Benefit Fashion Show
School of Medicine and Dentistry students prove that "Medicine Never
Looked So Good" at a fundraising fashion show set for Saturday, April
17, at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Art Gallery. Medical students will model clothing from
Rochester-area stores. Proceeds will go to St. Joseph's House of Hospitality,
a community program that provides food, clothing and shelter to those
in need. Tickets, which cost $10 for adults and $5 for students, can be
bought at the door or in advance in the School of Medicine and Dentistry
student services office.
