Sandra Quinones, a PhD student in teaching and curriculum at the Warner School, has been named a 2010-12 Cultivating New Voices among Scholars of Color Fellow by the National Council of Teachers of English.

Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, a Medical Center affiliate, will hold its fourth annual National Donate Life Month flag-raising ceremony at noon today at the main entrance of Strong Memorial Hospital.

Eastman School Presents Final Foodlink Concert
Faculty, students, and alumni will join together at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, for the Eastman School's final chamber music concert to benefit Foodlink. The concert will be held in Saint Paul's Church, 25 Westminster Road.

Financial Health Bites: Building Better Credit
Learn about building better credit from noon to 1 p.m. today in Helen Wood Hall, room 1W-509. A representative from HSBC Bank will give a presentation and answer questions. Brown-bag lunches are welcome.

Donate Items For Art and Treasures Sale
The Memorial Art Gallery Council is looking for donations of gently used collectibles and fine art (no clothing) for its Art and Treasures Sale in June. Donation drop off days are June 22-24. To arrange for an earlier pick-up, e-mail Frankie Hall Greene.

River Run for Youth Harmony
Registration is open for the second annual River Run for Youth Harmony slated for Friday, June 4, at 7 p.m. The 5K run, which begins at Staybridge Suites Hotel (at the corner of Brooks Avenue and Genesee Street), is organized by the 19th Ward Community Association and the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence.
