School of Medicine and Dentistry Invests 10th Dean
At a formal investiture Wednesday, Mark Taubman, the 10th dean of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, said he was "energized by the myriad economic and social challenges facing academic medical centers" and he "looks forward to working with the faculty, students, and staff to ensure that the school will remain in the forefront of academic institutions." Heart Drug Effective for Treating Muscular Dystrophy
A Medical Center study finds that a medication most often used to treat
heart arrhythmias also reduces a central symptom of myotonic dystrophy,
the most common type of muscular dystrophy in adults.

Warner Graduate Named a New Teacher of the Year
