Commencements Celebrate Achievement
The University will mark its 160th commencement for Arts, Sciences, and Engineering with an address to graduates and guests by Danny Wegman, chief executive officer of Wegmans Food Markets and a University trustee, and with the awarding of honorary degrees and medals that applaud outstanding academic and professional accomplishments.

Luke Flockerzi Named Men’s Basketball Coach
Luke Flockerzi, who served as an assistant coach under Michael Neer during the 2006-07 season, has been named Rochester's new men's basketball coach. Flockerzi was hired as head coach at Skidmore College in June 2007.

Elissa Newport Named to Select Academic Society
Elissa Newport, the George Eastman Professor of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, has been elected a member of the American Philosophical Society. Thirty new members are elected each year and remain members for life.

Register Now For Chase Corporate Challenge
Registration for the 2010 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge is due May
20. The event will be held at RIT at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3.
Registration costs $30 and includes two T-shirts and a post-race meal

Chamber Orchestra Concert Benefits Project H.O.P.E.
The Medical Center chamber orchestra will present a free concert for
Project H.O.P.E. (Haiti Outreach Proje Espwa) at 5 p.m. today in the
Flaum Atrium. Making its debut at the concert will be the newly-formed
Medical Center chorus. The concert will be dedicated to outreach
efforts for Haitians affected by the recent earthquake.

Call For Artwork: Staff Infection 6
Library and IT staff are invited to submit artwork in any media or
subject matter for the sixth annual juried Libraries’ and IT staff
art show, Staff Infection 6. Work
may be submitted in digital, slide, or physical formats. Deadline is
June 15. An exhibition will take place in August at the Art/Music
Library at Rush Rhees. Previous years’ exhibits can be viewed online.
