The Certificate Program in Biotechnology is designed to give students the background needed for entry into biotechnology and for advanced study, and it gives recognition for specialization in the field. The Certificate is awarded in conjunction with a degree upon completion of a prescribed set of courses. It is especially suitable for students in the UPBM tracks, but students in other degree programs are also eligible. Upon graduation, students successfully completing the Biotechnology Certificate Program will receive the certificate at their departmental diploma ceremony. The Undergraduate Program in Biology and Medicine administers this certificate, and interested students should contact the Program Office (402 Hutchison Hall) for further information.
