*Students intending to declare a Biology Minor (BI) should meet with the Administrator for the UPBM, Marianne Arcoraci, to create an academic plan before meeting with the academic advisor for the biology minor. |
Biology minors require successful completion of a minimum of six courses / 23 credits. At least one half of the six Biology courses must be taken at the University of Rochester. Students may not elect the S/F option for courses submitted for the minor, and must earn at least a 2.0 average for these courses. No major and minor may overlap by more than two courses. In addition, be sure to consult our General Degree Requirements when constructing your program. |

| NOTE: Students planning to attend medical school or graduate school should take two semesters of organic chemistry with laboratory (lab) and two semesters of physics with laboratory (lab) which are required by most medical schools and may be required by certain graduate programs. Consult with you faculty advisor regarding these courses.
