Exception to Minor Requirements

What is a petition? A petition is a written request to the UPBM Committee of Track Coordinators for a variance of the extant rules/regulations. This may be, for example, a request for substitution or acceptance of a course that is not ordinarily part of the UPBM curriculum.

Students with requests for exceptions to the requirements are required to consult with their academic advisor. For some exceptions, it may be necessary to submit a petition to the UPBM Committee.

General Minor Requirements

The Undergraduate Program in Biology and Medicine (UPBM) requires students to maintain a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) in the minor, excluding allied field courses. Be sure to visit the general degree requirements for more information on double majors, double degrees, and honors in research.
