CCAS INFORMATION SESSIONS

TAKE FIVE SCHOLARS PROGRAM : Learn about the program, the guidelines that are in effect, and how you may want to proceed with your application.   The deadline for submission of applications this semester is November 1.   Note: You need to attend a group information meeting before meeting individually with an academic adviser.   The same information is presented at each meeting; you need only attend one. Meetings are held in Wilson Commons 122 at 4 p.m. Meetings last approximately 45 minutes. Students unable to attend a regularly scheduled meeting may view, through October 12, a videotape on reserve in the Multimedia Center of Rush Rhees Library.  (Special meetings will also be held at Eastman School.)

HEALTH PROFESSIONS INFORMATION:   Do you want to go to medical, dental, optometry or veterinary school? Find out about requirements and how to plan. Please select the information session that best corresponds to your current needs. Note that the MCAT is changing for those applying in 2006-07, and that many sessions on the application process will be held in the spring.

*You need to attend a group information meeting before meeting individually with a Health Professions adviser. If you attended the Orientation session, you do not need to attend the general interst meeting.

FELLOWSHIPS AND SCHOLARSHIPS:   Learn about national and international academic competitions for students in various majors. Programs provide funds that can be used for undergraduate and graduate study in the U.S. and abroad. Find out what's available, how and when to apply, how to prepare a competitive candidacy. Pick up informational and application materials.

Meetings are subject to change. All information sessions are held at 4 p.m. in Lattimore 312 unless otherwise noted. Come to Lattimore 312 five minutes prior to the meeting time for directions to the meeting location.
