How Does Your Garden Grow?

Who is Salvia? What is she?

Here are some pictures of the infusion of Salvia that, on a whim, I decided to put in the front o' Casa Maister (having already put it in the back).

But first...here's my front porch...

...and, now, with the addition of a bed of Salvia - (which replaced the lawn/weed patch that was there previously):

As if that wasn't enough, I then revamped the back garden, adding two climbers/creepers (Climbing Hydrangea on the RHS of pic; in the corner is a "burning bush") ...

...the bare patches in the mulch (above) are for some shrubs and plants that I made the mistake of ordering from a mail-order nursery and which arrived looking like desicated pieces of brown dental floss -- I fully expect them to die imminently (if they were ever alive)....

anyway...moving on:

...and a Trumpet Vine against the fence (with, dontcha know it, more Salvia!)

An update on the garden:

Only half of what I ordered from the mailorder nursery seems to have survived, so other plantings were in order. Here are some updated pics (a new hosta, a labelia, a lenten rose, and something called "Herman's pride"):

In the not-so-grassy knoll area next to the satellite patio there now appears (including ostrich ferns, more lenten roses, and various other stuff):. Here are before and after pictures showing the addition of red cedar mulch -- something I thought I'd never buy!

The black finger of vegetative death continues to sow...

Go back home.
