The History Department took more than a hundred students, parents, and alumni afloat for a special tour of the Genesee River and Erie Canal aboard the Mary Jemison this year. The "Bagels and Locks" tour immersed passengers in the rich history of Rochester and introduced them to the colorful cast of characters who made the city and the U of R campus what it is today. Proceeds from the tours will go to providing our graduating history majors with a similar boat trip in May a few days before graduation. Read more »
