Filip Błachnio is a doctoral student in piano performance at Rice University, where he studies with Dr. Robert Roux. He holds an MM in piano from Rice and a BM in piano from the Eastman School of Music. At Eastman he studied piano with Prof. Thomas Schumacher. Filip Błachnio is a passionate pedagogue and an active performer. He is a member of the piano faculty at the Michael P. Hammond Preparatory Program and the International Music Academy in Houston.
