| PhD, Harvard, 1979. Public policy, organizational behavior. Research focuses on domestic social policy in the areas of aging, housing, poverty, and higher education. Recently named Vice President/President Elect of the Association of Graduate Schools. He is on the Board of Directors of the Graduate Record Examination and has previously served on the Board of the Council of Graduate Schools. Publications include The Political Economy of Organizational Change (Academic, 1981); "Aging and Politics," in Handbook of Aging and the Social Sciences (Academic, 1990); "Using Home Equity to Finance Long-Term Care" (with William Weissert), Journal of Health Politics, Policy, and Law (1987); and "Converting Home Equity into Income," in The Columbia Retirement Handbook(Columbia University Press, 1994). Teaches courses in the field of public policy. |
