Alumnae
“In my chosen career (litigation) and in all my long-term goals, it is important to have a strong, clear, and confident voice. The Susan B. Anthony Institute gave that to me.”
“The child welfare field is dominated by women, and most of our clients are women and children. My background in women's studies provided me with a foundation for understanding the social, political and economic injustices which both arise from and give rise to sexism, racism, poverty--all of which profoundly impact the well-being of children in our society.”
“Women's studies allowed me to find my voice and gave me courage to believe in myself and my ideas.”
Our undergraduate major and minor in women's studies was established in 1986. The achievements of our alumnae emphasize the intellectual and practical rewards of a program that works across traditional disciplinary boundaries.
Women's studies alumnae, and graduate students who have received the Graduate Certificate in Gender and Women's Studies, are encouraged to maintain contact with the Institute by remaining on our mailing list, and by contacting us with any information to be listed in the "Alumnae Update" and "Graduate Student Activity" sections of our newsletter, For Your Information. The Institute also maintains an alumnae email list, available only to women's studies alumnae, in order to facilitate contact among alumnae who have chosen to be on the list. For further information, please contact the Institute office.
