Kaitlin Legg has been the Program Assistant at the Susan B. Anthony Institute for Gender and Women's Studies since 2011. At SBAI, Kaitlin provides student support; coordinates advising, class schedules, and curriculum guidelines (in conjunction with the Curriculum Committee and faculty and staff throughout the College of Arts and Science); assists the Program Manager in coordinating SBAI events, including public lectures, research seminars, celebrations, and two film series; provides event support;maintains the SBAI website, Facebook, and blog; creates event and marketing collateral, including posters, brochures, and fliers; and produces written communications materials on behalf of SBAI.
Kaitlin is a social justice activist and feminist young professional born and raised in Rochester, NY. She is the Advocacy Chair on the steering committee for Rising Educators, Advocates, and Leaders (REAL) for Planned Parenthood of the Rochester/Syracuse Region (PPRSR). She is also the 2012 recipient of the Catharine Rowntree Advocacy Award from PPRSR. Kaitlin recently served as a special events and outreach coordinator for Girls Rock! Rochester, an organization in Rochester that organized the first ever Girl Rock! Summer Camp in the area. Previously, she served on the Board of Directors at Rochester Greenovation and worked as the Communications and Development Aide at Flower City Habitat for Humanity. Kaitlin is a 2010 graduate of Nazareth College's Communications and Rhetoric and Women and Gender Studies programs, where she also co-founded Nazareth's Women and Gender Studies Club.
