Not sure which program is right for you? Think about the experience you’d like to have while abroad and use the following criteria to help narrow down your choices.

Academics: Do you want to fulfill major or minor requirements while abroad? If so, you may want to review programs in specific academic disciplines or check out our programs by major page.

Budget: While students studying on UR programs will be charged University tuition and room costs for their semester(s) abroad, non-UR programs each have different fees depending on what the program includes.

Program type: There are many types of study abroad programs including direct enrollment in a university overseas, programs sponsored by a college or consortium, internships, and exchange programs. Find a program type that suits you.

Duration: How long will you study abroad: a few weeks, a summer, one semester, or a full year?

Housing: Where do you prefer to live: in an apartment, with a host family, or in a residence hall with other study abroad students?

Language: Do you want your courses to be in English or a foreign language? Search by language to learn more about your options.

Location: Do you have a specific country or region in mind? Do you prefer an urban or more rural setting? Browse programs by country/region.

Lisio Italian Studies Program

The Arnold Lisio ’56, ’60M (MD) and Anne Moore Lisio Italian Studies Program supports a variety of departments and programs that enhance your understanding and appreciation for the language, art, culture, and history of Italy.

The Lisio Program helps funds both the Arezzo: Lisio Italian Studies Program and the Procida: Lisio Italian Studies Program. Program applicants for these two programs will automatically be considered for a scholarship.
