Guzzle: The Politics of Inconvenience

    Absent Presence (2004)  

    Cadence Whittier joins Pfohl Smith in performing Absent Presence, a work originally developed in collaboration with Philippa Kaye in NYC in 2004. In 2008, this word was set to new music composed by Samuel Pellman. At times we shut out those who need us the most and disallow the intimacy we, in actuality, need and crave.

    Bull (2007)  

    The evening will also include the acclaimed solo, Bull, performed by Pfohl Smith to original music by Mark Snyder. Cadence Whittier joins Pfohl Smith in Absent Presence, a work originally developed in collaboration with Philippa Kaye in NYC and set to music composed by Samuel Pellman.

    Guzzle (The Politics of Inconvenience)  

    A work-in-progress performance and discussion of Guzzle (The Politics of Inconvenience), a multi-media dance choreographically directed by Pfohl Smith with music composed by NYC- based David Homan and film by Washington, DC-based Matt Costanza. From the greed of Big Oil to the brainwashing of Americans, this work discusses what seems like this nation’s need, or is it desire for oil and energy.
