This spring, Eastman Opera Theatre presents another of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s most widely performed operas.
Don Giovanni is the story of a young, arrogant, and sexually promiscuous nobleman who proceeds to abuse and outrage everyone until he encounters something he cannot kill, beat up, dodge or outwit.
Mixing serious and comic action this opera is a staple of the standard operatic repertoire and was listed ninth on the Operabase list of the most-performed operas worldwide from 2011 – 2016.
A pre-performance lecture will take place in the Ray Wright Room (ESM 120) one hour prior to the Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances.
