University of Rochester
Elizabeth Easley is a senior french horn performance major in the studio of W. Peter Kurau. She is involved with many of the modern music ensembles at Eastman, including Musica Nova and the Graduate Composers' Sinfonietta. Highlights of her time at Eastman include playing Mahler's sixth symphony with an all-female horn section, working with Kate Sopor on her new piece in Musica Nova, and playing principal horn under Leonard Slatkin in Philharmonia. She hopes to showcase a variety of modern horn music on her recital, including a new work composed by senior composition student Varun Rangaswamy.
