There are several ways in which University of Rochester students, faculty and staff can access their email messages from off campus. Email can be accessed through the web or via email clients.
Users can access their UR email messages through an email client (such as Outlook or Entourage) by setting up a Virtual Private Network (VPN). VPN allows users to access University-restricted materials (in this case, email messages) through a secure connection. (NOTE: You will need an Internet connection to do this.)
