Enterprise architecture is the process of identifying the principles and standards by which an enterprise will organize itself to most effectively achieve its business goals.
University IT's Architecture team uses consensus to create standards and guidelines in these areas:
- Technology - hardware and software tools.
- Information - data and metadata – semantics, identifiers, formats, protocols
- Business - goals, organization, relationships, processes
- Solutions - compositions of business, information and technology standards
