Data Warehouse and Reporting
The University of Rochester's Data Warehouse and Reporting Team develop and support the various tools necessary to support various reporting and analytic requirements. Cognos 10.1 is a fully supported product that enables reporting via the web. No desktop installations are required other than a standard, supported web browser. The preferred web browser for PCs is Internet Explorer 6/7/8, Firefox (tested through version 3.6) and for Macs it is Firefox (tested through version 4.5).
Tableau is a data visualization tool used for interpreting and representing data sets for various reporting needs , including Advancement and Student reporting.
Our current data mart offerings including:

- Finance ( FRS , CumSal, Accounts Payable )

- United Way
Data Warehouse Access form
You must submit a Data Warehouse Access Request Form in order to gain access to the data warehouse information for FRS, Cumsal, Student, Grant Management or Advancement information.
Training
Cognos 10.1 training is offered both through self-paced videos and classes). All of the "hands on" training sessions are held in the IT Training Lab at the Brighton Business Center, located at the rear of the Strong Ties facility at 2615 West Henrietta d ( across from Jay's Diner). There is no cost to attend.
