The Educational Technology Center provides instructional technology services for Faculty, and web and multimedia support to College departments. The Ed Tech Center
is located in Rush Rhees Library G-138 and is open Monday through Friday
9am-5pm. The Ed Tech Center can help coordinate support of course
use of instructional technology eg. preparation of course web sites and
presentation, identification of software for student use in computer labs,
and creation of multimedia projects that will be used to enhance the classroom
experience. It can also assist in development of departmental brochures, posters, and video projects.
The Ed Tech Center also helps support the public multimedia workstations located in the IT Center. An Ed Tech trained multimedia specialist is on duty in the IT Center during specified hours to answer multimedia questions and assist patrons with tasks such as text and graphics scanning
and editing, multimedia authoring, sound and video editing, and web page
design. Both Windows and Macintosh stations are available for projects
of these types.
The Educational Technology Center was accepted into the
international New Media Consortium

and assists the Center in better meeting the needs of students and faculty
working in the areas of emerging multimedia technologies.
