This information is specific for incoming freshman and transfers to Arts, Sciences and Engineering. If you are enrolled in another college/school, please use the links below:
Before you arrive
- Review University IT Services for Students.
- Read the Student Resource Guide.
- Activate your NetID.
- Access your UR Student email account.
- Opt-in Telephone Contract and Cellular Services.
- Complete Health Insurance Selection form.
- Purchase a computer online. Choose to have it shipped to your home, or pick it up at the Expo when you arrive.
After you arrive
- Download free anti-virus software available through the University agreement.
- Connect to ResNet (Residential Networking).
- Activate your firstname.lastname @rochester.edu email alias.
