Configuration Instructions for Mail.app (Mac OS X) :

Step 1: Launch your Mail application and then click Mail and select Preferences as seen below:

 

 

Step 2: Click on the Accounts icon to get the following screen. Then click on the Advanced tab.

 

Step 3:In the Advanced screen at the bottom you will see the checkbox for SSL. Click on the box to check it and the port should switch to 995, if not make sure that the Port is 995. In the Authentication drop-down menu select Password if not already selected.

Step 4: You can now click on the red button in the upper left hand corner to close the Preferences window and your settings will be saved and you will now be POPing your E-mail over SSL.
