October marks the sixth annual National Cybersecurity Awareness Month sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security. The theme for National Cyber Security Awareness Month 2009 is “Our Shared Responsibility” to reinforce the message that all computer users, not just industry and government, have a responsibility to practice good “cyber hygiene” and to protect themselves and their families at home, at work and at school.
Please remember to Lock Your Computer and Lock Your Screen. Please do not leave your computer system unattended -- even just for a minute. This is enough time for someone to walk away with your computer, or use your login to gain access to your files and accounts.
Throughout Melioria Weekend, University IT Computer Sales will be featuring several security related items for your computer. Stop by the first floor of the Rush Rhees Library or shop online!
