We have had a few reports of a problem that can result in having to start over on a new package. Under some circumstances, entering the project start date in the SF 424 (R&R), then changing it can result in the wrong date appearing in the Research & Related Budget form, with no ability to change it.  eRA Commons is aware of the problem and has informed us that we are not the first to report this problem.

We suggest that you make sure you have the correct project start date before you enter it in box 13 on the SF 424 (R&R). Once you are certain the start date is correct, enter it and open the Research & Related Budget form to make sure the start date has been carried over.

If you have to change the start date on the SF 424 (R&R) and notice that the date is not changing on the Research & Related Budget form there is no work around; you will have to start a new package.  We suggest that you verify that you have run into this problem before you start a new package.

 We are not aware of any problems with the Modular Budget forms, we have only seen this with the Research & Related Budget form.
