Please note that AHA grant applications must now be submitted via Grants@Heart. In contrast to
prior submissions to AHA, grant applications must be submitted to AHA by your ORPA
Research Administrator.

The new system may be accessed at the following link: Grants@Heart. Further information is listed
below and details of current funding opportunities are available on the AHA website
(http://www.americanheart.org)

While AHA accepts applications until 11:59pm on the deadline date, ORPA will not be available to
submit applications after 5pm on these dates.

From AHA:

Grants@Heart, the American Heart Association’s new on-line application system, is
now able to accept new applications.  A significant change in AHA’s operation is that
Grants Officers must now submit applications to the AHA.  (In the past,
each investigator submitted his or her own application.)

Applications to the Founders Affiliate are due to AHA by 11:59 p.m. Central Time
on Tuesday, January 27, 2009.

And as a reminder, applications to the AHA National Center are due to AHA by
11:59 p.m.Central Time on Thursday, January 22, 2009. 

Please be aware that an applicant may submit only one application to the affiliate
and one application to the National Center (if appropriate).  If both are funded, he or
she may accept only one award.
