Office of Research and Project AdministrationUR CoeusWhat is UR-Coeus ? UR-Coeus is a database system that contains proposal and award information for sponsored programs at the University of Rochester (UR). The Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA) originally licensed "Coeus" (a grant management application) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1997. Coeus (named after the Greek Titan of Intelligence) has been customized to the University’s requirements and culture to become "UR-Coeus". What is Coeus Cognos Data Warehouse Reporting? The Coeus Data Warehouse is a collection of UR-Coeus sponsored program data made available through a Reporting Web Portal that has been specifically structured for report queries and analysis. The Cognos Web Portal and associated tools were purchased by the University from IBM. The goal of Coeus Data Warehouse Reporting is to provide useful proposal and award information to all divisions of the University through use of a web application. This latest version of Coeus Reporting offers preformatted proposal and award reports. These reports include criteria selection screens that allow for the flexibility to custom tailor report information. Users can generate reports in a PDF file or information can be saved into other data formats (e.g. Excel, CSV) for further manipulation. Data Warehouse Reporting is available 24 hours a day and offers an online help file and video with instructions on how to get the most out of the reporting application. Users of the UR Grant Data Warehouse Reporting will need to use their Net ID credentials to login to the application. Access can be requested by completing the UR Grant Data Warehouse Reporting Registration Request Form.
